Adult Work Camp Overview

The Adult Work Camp is modeled on the youth program.   Held in August, participating churches provide Work Crew Leaders and volunteers for a week-long home repair project.   Good Works provides the tools, building materials, dumpsters, trucks to transport the materials, and expert Technical Staff to advise on the repairs.

Dates & Locations

The Adult Work Camp is located in Coatesville, PA. It is scheduled for August 11-15, 2008. If interested, please contact our office.

For Whom

Adults who are out of High School.

Work Crew Leaders    

Each church will provide Work Crew Leaders for each of their crews.  The WCL's job is to coordinate the repair work and bring the volunteers and homeowner's families together during the workday.

Work Crew Size  

6-10 people

Work Schedule

Each work crew works at a home for the entire week (Monday-Friday), from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  All participants travel back to their individual homes at the end of the workday.

Transportation

Each work crew must have a vehicle to transport them and the tools needed to the worksite each day.

Tools

Good works provides all tools and equipment, although individuals can bring their own if they desire.

We provide tools, building materials, dumpsters, trucks to transport the materials, and an expert technical staff for advice on the repairs.
