Which has more value to you, your comfort or sharing the life-changing message of the Gospel? Once we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, we do not become a
will-less robot for Christ. We have a choice to either follow the Great Commission or live in comfort hoping someone will miraculously have a conversion experience by simply watching us be a “good
person.”
Think about your family members, friends, co-workers, neighbors, fellow PTO parents, etc. You, as a believer, while on this earth, have access to the Holy Spirit’s
mighty working power (Acts 1:8) to have peace and comfort during your darkest days (Philippians 4:7) and to have joy in the midst of trials and heartache (James 1:2-3). You have access to heavenly
blessings (Ephesians 1:3), a relationship with the God of the universe who guides you daily (Jeremiah 29:13) and so much more. On top of it all you have your eternity secured in heaven (1 John 5:13).
Surely you would want them to experience the same benefits as you.
So how much do you have to hate those around you to not share? (1 Corinthians 9:16, James 4:17) Can you introduce them to the One who can help spare someone’s
loneliness, provide a balm for their pain, a compass to traverse this chaotic world we live in and experience the glory and splendor of heaven instead of the lake of fire they are facing? Silence
doesn’t equal love (Romans 5:8). If we are truly compelled by love, SHARING THE GOSPEL IS THE SINGLE MOST LOVING THING YOU CAN EVER DO FOR ANYONE. A momentary uncomfortable conversation is far more
loving than an eternity in hell. Before you think of staying silent, consider the cost.
