2023 Workday Staff Recognition

The mission of Good Works is repairing homes and restoring hope.  We assist low-income Chester County homeowners with home repair and provide services at no cost to them. Volunteers accomplish most of the repairs on Saturday workdays.

We serve 49 of the 73 municipalities in Chester County and have Repair Operations Warehouses in Coatesville, West Chester, Phoenixville and Saint Peters Village.  Building materials and supplies, as well as tools and equipment are stored at these locations and volunteers meet at each to start their workdays.  We have six Saturday workdays each month from these four communities (3 in Coatesville, 1 in West Chester, 1 in Phoenixville, 1 in Saint Peters Village).

Last year volunteers provided 33,291 hours of service through our workdays. This was possible because of our volunteer workday staff of 1197, each of whom have committed to one Saturday a month.

Once a year, we recognize our workday staff for their service.  Special acknowledgement goes to those workers who have achieved years of service in increments of five. This year we are recognizing 18 volunteers - seven for 5 years, three for 10 years, three for 15 years, two for 20 years, one for 25 years and two for 30 years of service.

We are richly blessed by our enthusiastic group of volunteers and our faithful workday staff. Please click here to see the names of this year's 18 volunteers who are being recognized.
