Becoming a Partner Church with Good Works . . .
. . . embraces the true meaning of an active faith and serves as a tangible way for a church to come alongside Good Works and help us fulfill our mission. That mission is . . . to transform lives by repairing homes for low-income families and sharing the hope found in Jesus Christ.
The opportunity for a church to serve their community in this way, has indeed taken hold . . . and all our church partners have eagerly served one family after another. These partnerships are a “win-win” for all!
We join the homeowners they have served in extending our heartfelt gratitude to them.

Traditional Partner Church
What is a Good Works Partner Church?
iA Partner Church s a ministry of Good Works that links a church with a disadvantaged family in Chester County. The church commits to providing comprehensive home repairs employing volunteers from their congregration. In the process, meaningful and trusting relationships are fostered that often continue beyond the workday.
What is the commitment?
The program requires a chuch to take a home from start to finish by participating in one Saturday workday (8am-4pm) each month. On average, it takes 12-18 workdays to complete a home.
What manpower and skills are required?
Ten volunteers per workday is a good goal, but the numbers may wax or wane depending on the work to be accomplished. The church is responsible to provide a church focal, a crew leader, a technical advisor, a lunch coordinator and a volunteer coordinator. The rest of the team can be members of your congregation or even your church high school youth group.
What does Good Works provide?
You are not alone! Good Works provides technical and logisitical support throughout the home repair process. We provide all the tools and building materials necessary to complete the work.
How do we get started?
Try before you buy. Recruit a team from your church to participate in a Good Works workday or two, or three... When you group is ready to commit, sign the Partner Church agreement and you will be a Good Works Partner Church.
Ambassador Partner Church
What is an Ambassador?
Good Works Ambassadors are volunteers who minister to the relational, emotional and spiritual needs of homeowners, their families, volunteers, neighbors and others on our workdays. Ambassadors share the hope found only in Jesus Christ.
What is an Ambassador Partner Church?
An Ambassador Partner Church commits to providing a Church Focal and at least ten “Workday” and/or “Beyond the Workday” Ambassadors each month.
What will Good Works provide? Good Works provides access to its mission field and will qualify, train, assign, equip and support Ambassadors.
What does an Abassador do on a workday? Workday Ambassadors visit with homeowners during the home repair process to build relationships through
prayer, evangelism and discipleship as led by the Holy Spirit. They distribute Bibles and tracts and make church referrals. Beyond the Workday Ambassadors do this via phone calls with homeowners at
least once a month.
What does the Church Focal do?
The Focal coordinates the Ambassador ministry at the church including recruitment, sending reminders and encouraging those involved.
Why should our church do this?
The local church’s mission is to proclaim, preserve, and display the gospel which can only be accomplished when members respond to Jesus’ Great Commission (Mark 16:15).
